Differences between cold rolled coils and hot rolled steel sheets
Cold rolled coil due to the degree of process hardening, low toughness, but can achieve a better yield to strength ratio, used to cold bend spring pieces and other parts, while the yield point is closer to the tensile strength, so the use of the process of danger without foresight, in the load exceeds the allowable load is prone to accidents.
The cold plate is processed by cold tying without oxidation on the surface, and the quality is good. Hot plate using hot tying processing surface oxidation skin, plate thickness has under the difference. Hot-rolled plate toughness and surface flatness is poor, the price is lower, while the cold-rolled plate stretching good, tough, but more expensive.
Cold rolled coil is made of hot rolled coil, which is rolled under recrystallization, but is generally understood to be rolled using room temperature rolled material. Three to six continuous mills are used as cold rolling facilities, including plates and coils.
Cold rolling is processed from hot rolled plate at room temperature, although the plate is also heated up during processing because of rolling, but nevertheless it is called cold rolling. Because of the hot rolling after continuous cold deformation made of cold rolling, in the mechanical properties are poor, too high hardness.
